Why use Synthetics?

Plain and Simple: They're better than non-synthetic lubricants. Synthetic lubricants are man-made products. They are chemically engineered from the molecules up, and carefully formulated for specific lubrication tasks.

AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants out last non-synthetic lubricants. They lubricate and protect better and longer, far beyond the limits of non-synthetic products. Discover how premium quality Amsoil-products save money, and how they maximize your equipment life and your products.

AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants

Make a Difference in Performance

Long-Lasting Service:

AMSOIL lubricants have a long service life. Non-synthetic lubes can break down from oxidation and heat. When that happens, they sludge-up, form deposits and have to be changed. AMSOIL lubricants resist breakdown, so they stay intact and run clean. This resistance to heat and oxidation prolongs the service life of AMSOIL synthetic lubricants, significantly extending drain intervals.

Low Temperature Fluidity/High Temperature Stability:

AMSOIL lubricants resist the effects of heat and cold far better than non-synthetic lubricants. AMSOIL synthetics will make the difference when starting an engine that’s cold, and cooling an engine that’s hot.

Rust and Corrosion Protection:

AMSOIL contains special additives to prevent rust and corrosion – a vital factor for equipment that sits idle or is stored for part of the year.

Anti-Friction:

AMSOIL lubricants are “super-slippery.” They are extremely effective in reducing friction and drag between moving parts, resulting in reduced wear, more efficient operation and better fuel economy.

Versatile For Most Applications:

In most cases, AMSOIL lubricants eliminate the need for specialty lubes. AMSOIL products meet or exceed the performance specifications of a wide variety of farm machinery.

Amsoil Synthetic Greases

AMSOIL Synthetic Greases Outperform Ordinary Greases

AMSOIL Synthetic Greases are recommended for all types of farm applications. The Multi-Purpose, Heavy-Duty, Water Resistant and Semi-Fluid 00 Synthetic EP Greases each provide outstanding anti-wear protection by significantly reducing friction and wear. Each is highly resistant to water washout and each imparts excellent rust and corrosion resistance.

Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease, NLGI #2 (GLC)

AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease grade #2 is recommended in manual or automatic lubricating systems.

NLGI #2 (GLC) is the preferred choice for medium to high ambient temperatures, sleeve type bushings, high shock loading environments, wet environments and wheel bearings and other automotive applications.

The correct consistency grade of AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease is recommended in heavy and light duty applications found in manufacturing plants, automobiles, agricultural and construction equipment.

These include, but are not limited to, roller bearings, plain bearings, thrust bearings, gears, electric motors, presses, winches, bushings, wheel bearings, chassis lubrication, universal joints, ball joints, tie-rod ends, and steering knuckles. AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Greases are suitable for use up to 350 degrees F. When operating at elevated temperatures, frequent re-greasing may be required.

AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Greases are compatible with many other types of greases. However, it is recommended that when changing greases, the equipment be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of Multi-Purpose Grease while the mechanism is in operation. Closely monitor the system for any inconsistencies. Grease compatibility questions should be referred to your AMSOIL representative or AMSOIL Inc.

Semi-Fluid 00 Synthetic EP Grease (GSF)

AMSOIL Semi-Fluid 00 Synthetic EP Grease (GSF) is formulated with high viscosity ISO-460 synthetic base oils and a sophisticated additive package, providing and unparalleled protection system that reduces wear and prevents damage. Its advanced extreme pressure additives provide superior protection and performance in shock loading applications which can rupture the oil film of conventional greases and lead to damaging metal to metal contact. AMSOIL Semi-Fluid Grease resists water and provides superior protection against corrosion and oxidation, which can eat away and destroy critical components and lead to equipment failure.

Amsoil Synthetic Motor/Diesel Oils

Outstanding Performance At Extreme Temperatures

AMSOIL Flows in the Cold

Non-synthetic oils thicken rapidly as the temperature drops. In cold weather, this causes difficult starting as the engine fights to turn over against the semi-solid lubricant. Even if the engine starts, the cold, thick oil will not circulate immediately, which means some parts of the engine can run for up to five minutes without any lubrication at all. AMSOIL stays fluid at much lower temperatures. In cold weather, AMSOIL permits easier starting and instant lubrication throughout the entire engine. During starts and warm-ups, critical engine surfaces slide, protected by a tough, film of oil between them.
